Nickie McQuade-Powell trained as a Drama teacher at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (1984-88) and is currently Director of Drama at a school in Fife. She has spent the last 40 years teaching drama to young people and honing her skills as a playwright. She is in the unique position of being able to write and direct her own material, with her own students; this allows for ample feedback from the most fierce of critics.

Her plays are easily produced and experiment with a variety of staging; end on, traverse, in-the-round and thrust. All can be adapted to fit whatever space is available.

The plays differ in style and the content can be challenging. As an educator of young people her writing aims to raise awareness, in both actors and audiences, of some of the more controversial issues of  21st century society. She champions diversity.

Lucy-Grace Ledger has supported her mother (NMP) since she was a tiny tot. She has been immersed in theatre and, although having no desire to perform, has always enjoyed being part of a creative team. From an early age she helped cast members with makeup and costume; as she got older she had no choice but to be involved with the script writing process. Ideas are regularly bounced off her and correct millennial terminology is sought. Her precise organisational skills and knowledge of 21st technology/social media is invaluable and second to none.
